The
Communication Division answers all incoming 911 emergency telephone calls,
along with requests for service or assistance from other law enforcement
agencies. The Division also answers calls for ambulance and fire fighting
equipment, dispatching the Mansfield Fire Department as needed. The Division
also routinely handles many non-emergency requests for service.
There
are currently thirteen (13) dispatchers for all three shifts. All dispatchers
receive training in the use of TCIC/NCIC and several types of 911 and Stress
Management courses.
